Kristina Howard

Executive Director

Kristina Howard is the Executive Director of the LIVE Coalition and a seasoned public affairs leader with more than a decade of experience advancing digital estate planning policy. She played a key role in passing the nation’s first electronic will law in Nevada, observed the Uniform Law Commission’s adoption of model legislation, and has helped secure landmark legislative victories in New York and Missouri. Kristina brings deep policy expertise and a proven track record of championing technology-driven solutions that expand access to legal services.

Sam Taussig

Strategic Advisor

Sam Taussig is a strategic advisor to the Legacy, Innovation & Virtual Estate Planning (LIVE) Coalition, bringing experience at the intersection of policy, technology, and consumer protection. His work focuses on practical public-policy reforms that expand legal access, strengthen data rights, and build trust for everyday families.

Sam has worked across legal technology, financial technology, consumer-directed data portability, and small business sectors with private enterprises, nonprofits, and government institutions on five continents. His policy and advocacy experience spans digital estate planning law, digital identity, artificial intelligence, data privacy, digital literacy, and consumer protection, with an emphasis on translating innovation into clear, durable regulatory frameworks that give individuals greater control over their legal and financial information.

Riley Blaugrund

Chief of Staff

Riley Blaugrund is a Public Affairs professional and the day-to-day support person at LIVE. She has experience working at the Maryland General Assembly and the Center of American Progress, where she gained valuable experience in political communication, writing, and coalition building. Additional advocacy and policy experience includes legislative tracking, qualitative and quantitative research, and policy evaluation. She holds a Bachelor of Public Policy and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland.
