LIVE Policy Principles

01

Modernize Estate Planning Laws

Advance technology-neutral legislation and policies that enable the secure electronic execution and notarization of wills and other estate planning documents, including trusts, advance healthcare directives, and powers of attorney, to reflect how people live and transact today.

02

Expand Access Through Technology

Make estate planning more accessible, affordable, and inclusive, especially for rural and underserved communities, by removing unnecessary barriers and enabling secure remote participation.

03

Strengthen Security and Consumer Safeguards

Promote robust protections in digital estate planning, including identity verification, tamper-evident records, and audit trails, to safeguard consumers.

04

Drive Innovation Through Collaboration

Bring together stakeholders, including legal practitioners, technology platforms, policymakers, regulators, and consumer advocates, to develop policies that meet the legal and statutory requirements of their respective jurisdictions.
