National consumer advocacy organization joins the push to make secure, digital estate planning accessible to more Americans.
Washington, D.C. (Aug 11, 2026) – Today, the Legacy, Innovation & Virtual Estate Planning (LIVE) Coalition announced that Responsive Law, a national nonprofit consumer advocacy organization, has joined its effort to modernize estate-planning laws and make essential legal tools accessible to more Americans.
For many consumers, creating an estate plan still requires in-person appointments, travel, time away from work, and costs that can put the process out of reach. Electronic wills and trusts, remote online notarization, and other secure digital processes address these obstacles by allowing consumers to complete important documents more conveniently, while maintaining safeguards that protect their wishes and the integrity of the estate-planning process.
