UK electronic wills pioneer adeus becomes a member of leading industry coalition working to bring estate planning out of a paper-first world.

LONDON, June 2026. adeus, the UK technology company building pioneering electronic wills and digital legacy planning tools, has joined the Legacy, Innovation & Virtual Estate Planning (LIVE) Coalition, the first and only advocacy group dedicated to modernising estate planning laws for the digital age. adeus joins as the coalition’s first UK member, adding an international perspective to a movement of more than 30 organisations spanning estate planning, legal services, technology and financial services.
The estate planning sector remains one of the last corners of professional services largely untouched by modern technology. Many of the rules that govern how a will is made still assume a world of ink signatures, in-person witnessing and paper files. adeus and the LIVE Coalition share a conviction that this is overdue for change, and that secure, well-built technology is the route to expanding access while strengthening legal safeguards rather than weakening them.
The coalition is advancing reform at pace, working with policymakers and stakeholders to update estate planning laws for a digital age. Its agenda speaks to a simple reality: estate planning remains a large and underserved market, with only around one-third of adults holding an estate plan at all. For more, visit livecoalition.com.
“When my co-founder and I started adeus, the goal was to reduce the barriers to protecting a legacy without compromising on security or legal integrity. The estate planning sector is one of the last to be reshaped by serious technology, and that has to change. Joining the LIVE Coalition connects us with like-minded innovators on both sides of the Atlantic who believe electronic wills and digital legacy planning are the future. We’re proud to be the coalition’s first UK member and to help drive a somewhat antiquated sector forward.”
Mark Hedley, Founder, adeus
adeus is focused on building technology for electronic wills: secure, legally robust and designed for how people actually live today. Its membership of the LIVE Coalition reflects a shared agenda: expanding access, reducing the financial and geographic barriers to planning, and modernising legislation that has not kept pace with consumer expectations or the technology now available.
“Progress on modernizing estate planning laws can translate into real impact for real families, faster.”
Kristina Howard, Executive Director, LIVE Coalition
As the coalition continues to expand across estate planning, legal services, technology, finance, healthcare and real estate, adeus’s arrival signals a growing, internationally minded movement that is betting the next era of estate planning will be digital, secure and far more accessible than the system it replaces.
